Mary Bottensek

Commercial Risk Advisor

With several years of experience in the insurance industry, I built my career around one simple goal: making insurance easy, customized, and genuinely helpful for the people who keep our communities running. As a Certified Farm/Agriculture Producer, I bring specialized knowledge and firsthand understanding to the clients who rely on me most.

My passion is serving blue-collar businesses—farms, ranches, logging operations, and other hardworking industries that rarely fit into a one-size-fits-all policy. I understand the risks, the lifestyle, and the realities of rural business, and I’m committed to creating coverage that truly fits each client’s needs. And while agricultural and rural commercial insurance is my specialty, I’m also well-versed in a wide range of additional commercial risks and personal lines.

My connection to agriculture goes far beyond the office. My family and I raise Black Angus cattle, and we’re avid outdoor enthusiasts—whether it’s early mornings in the pasture, long days working with livestock, or spending our free time hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. Living the lifestyle I insure gives me a deeper perspective and a stronger commitment to the people I serve. I don’t just insure rural America—I’m part of it.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: build relationships, provide honest guidance, and help my clients safeguard the things that matter most.

A lifelong Pacific Northwest resident, Jim has a deep appreciation for the region’s businesses and industries. He believes in providing tailored insurance solutions that truly meet client needs, serving an area that has been underserved for far too long.

Now based in Tualatin, Oregon, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Outside of work, he’s often on the move between his kids’ activities and sporting events. He also enjoys coaching, snowboarding, mountain biking, and golfing—often joking that his goal is simply to see how many points he can rack up on the scoresheet. Passionate about his community, he’s actively involved in his church and loves playing guitar and singing whenever he gets the chance.

In an ever-changing industry, Jim is dedicated to being a trusted resource and advocate for businesses and individuals looking for more than just an insurance policy—he’s here to help them build a smarter, safer future.
