Steve began his career at LaPorte & Associates more than 30 years ago, and has been instrumental in the direction, leadership and growth of the company. His philosophy of putting the client first, providing exceptional service and going the extra mile enhances the integrity LaPorte was founded on.
Working as a field sales manager for a national insurance carrier for more than 10 years prior to joining LaPorte provided Steve with the knowledge of the insurance product. Many of his clients today were relationships he built when he first joined the LaPorte family. He is not just about the sale, but being a trusted friend, advisor and advocate.
Specializing in the construction, wood products and manufacturing industries, Steve continues to maintain long-standing relationships with the insurance companies who have supported his clients through the years. “Relationships are not just about the client, but the communication and trust you have with the insurance carriers. At the end of the day, it is knowing what you do very well, and doing what you know even better.”
Outside of LaPorte, Steve enjoys golfing, mountain/road biking, traveling and supporting the University of Oregon Ducks football team.
